Stage Door Live: Episode 12 is all about Inspiring Young Theatre Makers and the importance of youth theatre in developing the theatre makers, actors, crew of tomorrow.

Following the news, we will be joined by Michelle Carew, Director of Youth Theatre Ireland, and Veronica Coburn, Artistic Director of the National Youth Theatre Ensemble to discuss the importance of Youth Theatre and nurturing and inspiring young theatre makers in Ireland. We’re then joined by Theatre Director Jack Reardon who has taken the role of Artistic Director of Stagecraft Youth Theatre in Clonmel (where he started out) to discuss youth theatre from a more rural perspective. Artistic Director of Bare Cheek Theatre Company and County Wexford Youth Theatre, Tony McClean-Fay joins us with a former member of CWYT, Laura Flynn, and a current member of CWYT Judith Allen. Amy Kidd discusses playwriting for young people and young audiences with Playwright Nancy Harris, Amaya Gillespie discusses her work on “Cocooned” in our Art In Isolation series, and Actor and Spoken Word Artist Roxanna Nic Liam reads her own poem as part of our Final Poetic Thought.
