In Episode 11, we dive in to the supporting act in theatre and live events. Sophie Ridley, Chair of the EPIC Working Group, and Liam Fitzgerald, Chair of the Association of Irish Stage Technicians, join us to discuss the ways in which EPIC and AIST are working in tandem to support workers in Live Events and technical theatre. Stage Manager Fiona Keller joins to discuss the sustainability of the sector and the desire for representation and support. Production Manager Eamonn Fox talks about what keeps him coming back to the theatre. In a special report, Correspondent Kelly O’Doherty discusses the successes of NCFA with Steering Committee Member Tom Creed, and the next steps for the industry. In our Art In Isolation segment, Emma O’Grady gives us “Our News“, and Senator David Norris gives us a beautiful poem by Dylan Thomas.
