The pandemic has brought out the best in theatre artists, our ability to adapt. We discuss some of these adaptations in Covid-times. Featuring: Niamh Honer, Cian Austin Jesus Kinsella, Ciara Elizabeth Smyth, Aonghus Óg McAnally, Rickie O’Neill, Fergoli Theatre Company, and Eanna Hardwicke.

In today’s episode, Niamh Honer from The Civic Theatre joins us to discuss the theatre’s support for artists and hopes for the future; Cian Austin Jesus Kinsella, one-half of comedy group ‘Lords of Strut’ who have a residency at VISUAL Carlow and playwright Ciara Elizabeth Smyth with #HatchandScratch at The MAC discuss adapting in the face of COVID-19; and Aonghus Óg McAnally, artistic director of Rise Productions and creator of #RiseCovidCommissions discusses his self funded program to help artists and his hopes for moving forward. We’ll be focusing on adapting to the current climate, because #artistsalwaysadapt. In our #ArtInIsolation series, we focus in on Actor and Saw Doctors member Rickie O’Neill who is Drumming for Irish Cancer Society, and Roscommon Arts Centre residents Fergoli Theatre Company. Our good night poem is read by Eanna Hardwicke.
